THE DRIVEWAYEpisode 01 · Fall 2026How do you get dog hair out of a car?
Dog hair weaves into carpet and cloth seats, so a vacuum alone usually won’t get it. Professionals loosen it with rubber pet hair tools and compressed air, then vacuum it out. At Advanced Mobile Detailing, pet hair removal is a $50 add-on you can add to any package when you book. On its own, it’s a standalone visit with a $179 minimum.
DIY tips
- Use a rubber glove or squeegee and drag in one direction to ball the hair up.
- Vacuum slowly with a stiff brush attachment.
- Seat covers or a cargo liner keep it from coming back.

When to call a pro
If hair is woven into the carpet, the vents, or the trunk liner, or if there’s odor too, a professional detail saves hours. Family Reset also shampoos cloth seats and carpets.
